I've been using nortons now for a while on the home PC and no probs so far..
basic user friendly with a few bells and whistles but less probs than trend!
Ive heard some great ratings about trend and some horror stories also. I find symantec (Norton), no so invassive when it comes to what software it will or wont allow to run. Again, it pays to be careful what software you install on a computer and more to the point, where it comes from. Many software firewalls freak out when new or updated software is applied to a pc - my symantec firewall gives me freak out panic messages everytime i upgrade firefox or thunderbird because the software version that symantec has catalogued as being ok to access the net is no the version attempting to connect.
I gota say that your setup sounds real sweet.
If sound is the operative word then you wouldnt like it. The rack mount servers and free standing servers actually make a lot of fan noise. The rack mount are by far the noisiest. Most of my setup is for hosting domains, hence why i require a block of IP addresses. I used to use debian linux on these machines as i wouldnt sleep well at night using windows for front end internet servers plus, linux is free and LEGAL to use for just this purpose. I now use redhat and cpanel so subscribers can manage their own domain settings etc
Are you the jody on the gold coast who played the original heeps?

One last tip for anyone tired of being hit by viral or malware. Set up a virtual machine, install linux ubuntu and use firefox in that machine to surf where ever you like. If you do get hit by viral or malware, the problem is contained in your virtual machine and can either be reinstalled or restored by a snap shot. Linux ubuntu does not require a lot of disk space, its GUI is user friendly, its free and open source, it supports auto updates from the net. Try it if you dare,,, you just might like it....
stress is when you wake up screaming then you realise you haven't fallen asleep yet...
